Lexus Makes Luxury Green
Luxury car aficionados take heed, the pinnacle of vehicular opulence has been realized in the Lexus LS600hL. The Japanese car company has created a hybrid sedan built on an extravagant 121 inch long wheelbase boasting lots of leg room and half the noise and vibration of competing luxury car lines. All Wheel Drive, a 5.0-liter direct-gas-injection V-8 engine coupled with dual electric motors lurking under a very fashionable hood put the LS600hL in a class of its own, moving away from the traditional space-age form and lines of the Toyota Prius and Scion Fuse.

Turning out over 430 horsepower this monster of a vehicle boasts 0-60 MPH in 5.2 seconds! Hand stitched leather interiors and a best in class fuel economy make the LS600hL a one of a kind marvel while safety features such as an advanced pre-collision system actually tighten up seat belts and sharpen steering wheel responses before an impending collision. It even parallel parks itself.

So what’s the catch? A price tag of $104,000 before taxes and license fees put the LS600hL outside the limits of the average African-American’s budget. However, we surmise it won’t be long until the celebrities from all walks of life discover the quiet, safe, fuel-efficient luxury of Lexus’ most recent vision. Will the 600hL become the fuel-efficient version of the gas-guzzling Bentleys of music video lore? It seems likely! Times are changing and we’re all a little fed-up with too much time spent at the gas pump.
